As the story goes – we met at a festival in Byron Bay in 2019. Having hardly spent a day apart since meeting, three weeks later we were laying on the beach in Byron Bay drawing with colored pencils when we saw a boat sailing past. We looked at each other, flipped the page and drew a little yacht with the note “let ’s learn to f***g sail! aim to own a little yacht”(see photo)
Neither of us had ever sailed before, let alone been on a sailboat. From that day on, our dream was born and life was never the same!
Phoebe and I were sitting by our boat in the harbor, as we had done countless times over the 2.5 years we lived there, a few weeks before starting our full-time liveaboard cruising. We wanted to share our journey but hadn’t named it yet. Phoebe suddenly said, “New Kids on the Dock” while looking at Innerbloom in her berth. We both grinned, and that was it!
Phoebe has worked hard to create over 50 videos in our first season, reducing editing time from 3 weeks to 40 hours per episode. We love sharing our journey and positively influencing others to achieve their dreams is one of our biggest goals. Sharing our videos helps us feel closer to our friends and family who are far away.
